Congratulations to our colleagues of the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University of Morocco led by Professor Mustapha Barakate for his recent scientific publication in the prestigious journal “Biological Control”. This publication, entitled “Whole genome analysis of antagonistic and plant growth promoting Bacillus halotolerans KFD uncovers its molecular arsenal against the bayoud pathogen Fusarium oxysporum f.sp albedinis”, describes the genome of a Bacillus halotolerans strain that has been isolated as a promising biocontrol agent to combat Bayoud disease, which devastates date palm plantations.
