Congratulations to our colleagues of The Lebanese University (Lebanon) and INRAE (France) led by Professors Lamis Chalak (The Lebanese University) and Patrice This (INRAE) for their recent scientific publication in the prestigious journal “Genetic Resources and Crop Evolution”. This publication, entitled “Exploring the genetic diversity of Lebanon’s underexploited grapevine resources”, describes the identification of 102 distinct grapevine genotypes. Lebanon’s grapevine genetic resources are key for conservation, breeding, and future viticulture research. Preserving these resources protects the nation’s heritage while fostering innovation and resilience in winemaking amid environmental changes.
