Once again, the researchers from the GIDE research group at the University of León and members of the SUSTEMICROP project (PRIMA 2021), Dr. Daniel Alonso, Dra. Laura Cabeza and Dra. Beatriz Jiménez, took part in the European Researchers´ Night 2025 event in Léon.
The European Researchers´ Night (https://culturacientifica.unileon.es/noche-europea-de-los-investigadores/) is an international event promoted annually by the European Commission. It seeks to bring the science and innovation developed within the university institution closer to society in a participatory, accessible, and surprising way. In this event, various activities such as workshops, talks, conferences, scientific and cultural routes, among others, are offered by researchers from more than 300 European cities at same time to bring the value of scientific, technical, social, and economic knowledge closer to the public. In this edition of 2025, organized by University of León on the 26th of September, Dr. Daniel Alonso, Dr. Laura Cabeza, and Dr. Beatriz Jiménez gave several presentations on the SUSTEMICROP project, highlighting the potential benefits for farmers in terms of improving the sustainability of agricultural operations and emphasizing the active role that farmers can play in this process through the introduction of sustainable and innovative treatments. Being an active part of this event has been a great opportunity to share the main results obtained from the SUSTEMICROP project to date and how these can contribute to the development of more sustainable agricultural practices.
